  • Duolingo: Great for if you’re wanting to learn the local language.
  • Google Translate: Good for when you don’t understand the local language and need to find a translation.

  • Been: A fun way to look at all the countries you’ve visited.
  • Currency Converters: Allow you to use a currency conversion calculator on the go.
  • Trip Advisor: This allows you to check online reviews of different restaurants, tour companies, and hotels.
  • Maps Me: Allows you to download a map of the area you’re in so you can use it with or without wifi.

Community Facebook Groups:

  • Ladies for Sustainable Travel: This group is one that I created for anyone identifying as women or nonbinary who wish to empower each other to travel and live more sustainably. Group members are encouraged to add any articles, photos, or questions to the group.
  • Girls LOVE Travel: Group for anyone identifying as women who love to travel. Group members often post photos or ask other members for advice when visiting certain areas.
